JB..

dried shrimps,
yam, mustard,
chinese sausage &
chinese mushrooms
rice & chicken stock

shallots & minced garlic

nothing to do after finish work,
take sushi king as lunch with my mum & younger sis.
reach home..
wanna try to cook yam rice..
prepare all ingredients..

how to cook 'YAM RICE'
  1. Rinse rice & drain. Add in chicken stock (鸡精块)mix evenly.
  2. Heat up some oil, fry portion of garlic till fragrant(爆香). Add in rice, fry till fragrant.Remove.Pour the fried rice into electric rice cooker, stir evenly. Cover with lid & cook till half-cooked (about 12 minutes).
  3. Heat up some oil, fry shallots & portion of garlic till fragrant. Add in dried shrimps & chinese sausage, fry till fragrant. Add in yam,mushrooms,seasoning (1tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 5-spices powder, 1/4 pepper & 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce) & 2 tbsp water, fry evenly. Lastly, add in mustard & stir well.
  4. Remove lid & put in all remaining ingredients, continue cooking until rice is fully cooked.
  5. Allow rice to simmer in cooker with lid for few minutes. Open lid & stir the rice evenly. Sprinkle spring onion on top before serving.
